Nikujyga Simmered Meat and Potato Recipe



Today's Oishiy recipe is ''Nikujyaga Simmered Meat and Potato''. It is most popular food among all kinds of simmered dish in Japanese cuisine. Common meat are pork but you can use also chicken and beef. Adults and kids will surely love this taste.


---INGREDIENTS---

4 serving

Pork 200g
Onion 150g
Carrot 120g
Potato 400g
Konjac Noodle 150g(1pck) 
Snow Beans 15g

Dashi Japanese Stock 400ml
Soy Sauce 50ml
Sake 40ml
Mirin 40ml
Sugar 15g
Salad Oil 15ml



---PROCEDURE---

1.In boiling water add salt, snow beans, boil for less than a minute and drain water.
2.In a pot put oil, saute onion.
3.Add potato, carrot, and saute  for a bit.
4.Then put dashi Japanese stock and boil until carrot and potato are soft.
5.Add sugar, sake, mirin, soysauce, and thin sliced pork and boil.
6.Put konjac and boil for a minute and it's done.
7.Add snow beans and serve while its hot.
