Today's Oishiy recipe is ''Simmered Pumpkin with Soy Sauce''. Japanese known for it's healthy food. And one of them are simmered vegetable like pumpkin. This recipe serve when winter season. They usually serve this in December 22 because of the belief that they will be lucky when they eat this on that date.
---INGREDIENTS---
Pumpkin 300g
Dashi Japanese Stock 300ml
Sake 15ml
Mirin 15ml
Soy Sauce 20ml
Sugar 15g
---PROCEDURE---
1.Cut pumpkin into square.
2.In a pot, put dashi Japanese stock, pumpkin, and simmer for a minute.
3.Then add sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce.
4.Use aluminum foil as lid.
5.Simmer until pumpkin are soft. (it depend of how hard pumpkin you use).
6.Serve with your favorite food.
