The Tempura Recipe



Today's Oishiy recipe is ''The Tempura''. Tempura is one of the most popular type of Japanese food that is widely enjoyed around the world. Same as Sushi, Tempura probably most common one as you see on menus in Japanese restaurants.


---INGREDIENTS---

4 serving 

Shrimp 250g 
Saury Fish 250g
Squid 200g
Pumpkin 200g
Japanese Basil Leaf 4pcs
Eggplant 150g
Shiitake Mushrooms 4pcs
Maitake Mushrooms 60g
Shimeji Mushrooms 60g
Green Pepper 8pcs
Flour 250g
Potato Starch 100g
Mayonnaise 20g

Salad Oil for Deep fry
Water 400ml
Ice cube 


---PROCEDURE---

1.Combine flour, potato starch, mayonnaise, water, mix well and add ice cube.
2.Dip shrimp, saury fish, squid.
3.In a pan put salad oil for deep fry.
4.Deep fry saury, ebi and squid for about 2-3minutes both side. Use kitchen paper to absorb oil of tempura.
5.Now for vegetable tempura slice cut all vegetables and dip into batter.
6.Deep fry pumpkins for 3-4minutes both side.
7.Deep fry eggplant, shiitake, maitake, shimeji, green pepper, Japanese Basil leaf for about 1-2minutes both side.
8.Serve while it's hot and with tempura sauce.
